October Updates: New Fertility Coursework, Global Events, & Ways to Give Back

Dear Margaux,

October marks exciting progress at Seleni, from the launch of our new Fertility Coursework to global insights shared through our collaboration with Fainareti. We’re also offering a free CE/CME training, Eliminating Implicit Bias in Maternity Care (1 hour intro program), made possible through support from Fidelis Care.

You’ll also find new articles exploring the emotional side of fertility, information about our Fidelis Scholarship for mental health professionals, and opportunities to connect locally through upcoming events supporting Seleni.

Thank you for helping us advance women’s mental health through all stages of reproductive life.

Fertility Coursework Is Here!

1 in 6 people experience infertility. We’re proud to introduce the first two modules of our new Fertility Coursework — a four-part series designed to equip learners with the tools to support individuals and couples facing infertility and reproductive challenges.

Taught by Mary Riddle, PhD, the first two modules offer a comprehensive intro to reproductive mental health and provide practical, evidence-based strategies for working with clients navigating fertility struggles, pregnancy loss, and family-building journeys.

Seleni and Fainareti co-hosted a powerful event on September 24 highlighting international collaboration in maternal mental health. Leaders from both organizations shared insights on perinatal care, research, and advocacy efforts around the world.

Seleni at Concordia: A Global Call to Action

The Seleni team was proud to join Concordia this year, engaging in critical conversations on mental health, healthcare, and global wellbeing, core to our mission of supporting women, families, and future generations.

On September 22, Seleni’s Co-Founder, Nitzia Logothetis, had the honor of introducing His All-Holiness Bartholomew, Archbishop of Constantinople-New Rome and Ecumenical Patriarch, at the Concordia Annual Summit. In her remarks, Nitzia highlighted His All-Holiness’ tireless leadership since 1991, championing interfaith dialogue, environmental stewardship, and a vision of peace and solidarity for all people.
